HUNDREDS of children from two Redditch schools have joined together for a giant-sized literary challenge.
On Friday (September 9) children from Abbeywood First School and Church Hill Middle School RSA Academies joined together to perform and tell a story they had learnt by heart, complete with actions.
After the performance, the children, who had already built their very own cardboard library, were challenged to get their noses into a couple of very big books when they discovered that the homemade library had disappeared overnight to be replaced by two giant blank books, over four feet tall,
The youngsters have now been challenged to fill these enormous books with their own ideas for stories and creative language and are happy to oblige as part of their new theme for the term “Tell Me A Story…”
Deena Frost, Head of Abbeywood First School, said : “The children never fail to amaze us with their creativity and the story telling performance will be one to remember for a long while.”
