A SLIMMING down of the senior management team shared by Redditch Borough Council and Bromsgrove District Council is expected to bring in savings of £196,920 a year.
Of that, cash-strapped Redditch will see a combined total of £142,699 taken off its share of the annual wage bill.
The move takes the savings since the creation of the single management team for the two authorities in 2009 to £1.06million per annum.
Over that period the number of senior managers has shrunk from 15 in 2010 to the current figure of 11, including someone covering North Worcestershire Economic Development and Regeneration.
The new structure was approved by Redditch full council on Monday evening, January 20.
