A MOTORCYCLIST has been flown to a major trauma centre after coming off his bike and skidding along a road in Warwickshire.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Broad Lane, Tanworth-In-Arden at 6.45pm on Thursday evening.
A paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic area support officer in a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance crew and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The man who is in his fifties, had a head injury and chest injury. He was sedated at the scene, his condition was stabilised, he was given pain relief and an anti-haemorrhage drug.
“He was immobilised with the use of a scoop stretcher and headblocks and was flown to the major trauma centre at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”
