A GOOD atmosphere, delicious cakes and thirst quenching drinks made for a highly successful coffee morning at the Co-op for Studley in Bloom last week.
It all contributed to an amazing £428 being raised to keep the village looking beautiful, and with more money still to be counted, Bloom chairman Jill Liebthal was full of praise for the efforts of everyone concerned.
“It was a lovely atmsophere and we were lucky it kept dry, at least until it was time to pack away,” she said. “Our thanks go to the members of Studley in Bloom, to Diane Clarke who always bakes lovely cakes and to the staff at the Co-op for making it all happen.”
The Bloomers are next in action this Saturday, April 7, for a village-wide litter pick.
All volunteers welcome – meet at 10am in the Pool Road car park for a two hour litter blitz – all kit provided.
