Bluegrass wizards Sharps & Flats head for Feckenham village hall

Redditch Editorial 6th Oct, 2021   0

AN internationally famous band that beats the Americans at their own game with their very Cornish Bluegrass is coming to Feckenham Village Hall next Saturday, October 16.

Flats and Sharps are a four-piece outfit from Penzance, who have delivered energetic and spirited Bluegrass to audiences all around the world.

Flats & Sharps have been performing their own take on the genre for more than eight years and their shows include a wide variety of influences, from a fresh and modern outlook on foot-stomping material through to their powerful and well-crafted original songs.

Blending strong harmonies and stonking solos it promises to be an evening that’ll have folks up and dancing, laughing and singing along too.

The band are veterans of multiple tours in Australia, Europe and around the UK with festival appearances at Nashville Meets London, Cambridge Folk, Isle of Wight and Larmer Tree – to name a few.

Flats & Sharps are being brought to Redditch’s rural outpost by Live and Local – the county’s performing arts scheme and the performance is sponsored by Arts Council England, Worcestershire County Council and Redditch Borough Council.

There will be a licensed bar and doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

Tickets are £12 from the Village Shop and The Rose & Crown in Feckenham or book online at www.feckhall.org or call 0333 666 3366.
