A SENIOR citizen from Studley has issued a warning after scammers tried to take control of her computer.
The woman, who has just turned 80, told how she received a call out of the blue from somebody claiming to be from Microsoft Windows.
“They told me something illegal was going on and if it was proved to be coming from my computer then I would be held responsible,” said the woman.
“Of course when you hear something like that it really worries you, really puts the fear into you.
“However I always tell them that my son looks after my computer, but i did notice that the number he was calling from was different from the number he gave me.”
