Bollywood dancer dances her way into St Luke’s CE First School

BOLLYWOOD dancer Kalpesh Zalavadiya breezed into St Luke’s CE First School recently, bringing exciting dance moves and exotic music to the delighted children.

Kalpesh, of London-based K’z Dance Entertainment, performed a series of Bollywood dance workshops for each class, culminating in a whole school performance on the playground.

“We aim to make it a full day for the children and we start by explaining about Indian culture and festivals before moving on to the dancing,” said Kalpesh.

“The grand finale is out on the playground where we also ask for parents and staff to join in the fun and join the pupils.”

A school spokesperson said: “The children really enjoyed this event and even some of the reluctant dancers joined in.

“A big thank you to St Luke’s sports coach Harry Sharpe for organising such a fun event.”

Kalpesh and K’z Dance Entertainment have performed at some of the biggest arenas in the country, including Wembley Stadium, the House of Commons for the annual Diwali celebration, and in Trafalgar Square.
