Boomerang plea for a van and driver to help Redditch families

REDDITCH’S very own re-use shop Boomerang is appealing for anyone with a van to help them out.

The Hewell Road business sells quality furniture and kitchen goods at low prices and has helped countless Redditch families furnish their homes.

However, owner Pauline Thorne says the business is really struggling without a van to deliver the goods if the buyer can’t collect.

“We’ve not had a van for two years now and we’re struggling,” she said.

In an age when we’re being asked to buy less and recycle more, Boomerang, based at Unit 5 of the Phoenix Works, has been leading the way for a number of years.

It sells a wide range of goods from bedroom furniture to dining room tables and chairs, sofas and much more.

Where possible they’re also happy to collect for free, which is where someone with a van would be handy, as well as helping with deliveries.

“We desperately need someone with a van and we can help cover fuel costs for anyone coming forward,” said Pauline.

Boomerang is open from 9am to 3.30pm weekdays (closed Tuesday) 9am to 1pm on Saturday, and closed Sunday. If you can help call 01527 68250.
