Borough offering free advice for landlords as lockdown eases

Redditch Editorial 3rd Jun, 2021   0

A NEW online forum for landlords to help them understand the latest changes to regulations due to Covid-19 has been launched across Worcestershire.

The free event is open to all landlords and letting agents in Redditch and the rest of the county and is on Tuesday, June 8, at 2pm.

It is being organised by the five district councils and Redditch Borough Council along with the National Residential Landlords Association. The aim is to offer expert advice on the latest changes to legislation and explain all the options open to landlords to get the best outcomes for them and their tenants.

“Covid 19 has affected the housing sector and brought about changes in regulations in the rental sector,” said Redditch Borough Councillor Craig Warhurst whose portfolio covers housing.

“As lockdown restrictions are easing we wanted to pool all of our resources, with our neighbouring authorities, so our landlords have access to expert advice, online, for free.”

The authorities will also be sharing information on the schemes and initiatives available for landlords in their areas.
