Brave Redditch boy hit by car apologises to driver for running in the road

A TWELVE-year-old boy who was struck by a car has reached out to the driver to apologise for running in the road.

Connor Garaghon was hit outside his school, Ipsley CE RSA Academy, but was more worried about the driver being in trouble than his own wellbeing.

He asked his mum, Paris, to reach out to the driver on social media after she was contacted by the brave youngster’s school letting her know that he had been involved in an accident.

“It was the scariest phone call of my life,” she said.

“But Connor told me it wasn’t the driver’s fault that he’d ran out in the road and wanted him to know that he was fine.

“He doesn’t want the driver to worry as it was a complete accident on his part.

“Thank you to the driver for stopping to see if he was okay too.”

Paris added that if anyone knows who reported the incident to the school to let her know as she would like to thank them.
