‘ABSOLUTELY brilliant’ – that was the verdict of organisers after yet another successful Studley Flower Show.
The recent event saw the entire village rally round to support the annual fixture, held at the Entaco, which saw more than £1,000 raised for local charities.
However with rain forecast Pam Crow, who helped organise the show with her husband Des, admitted that at one stage she feared they wouldn’t make a penny.
“I was worried to start with, but we were overwhelmed by the support we received – people were absolutely brilliant. The Studley in Bloom team helped behind the scenes, local and district councillors came to lend their support while Sam and Dawn Beaman did a fantastic job on the tombola raising more than £200 alone,” she said.
More support came in from local businesses with raffle prizes which just left auctioneers Des Crow and Christopher Straw to crown the day by selling off all the produce which brought fierce bidding from enthusiastic supporters and local.
