REDDITCH’S budding young stars can portray characters from Lewis Carroll’s infamous Alice in Wonderland this summer with the Palace Youth Theatre (PYT).

Young performers aged eight to 18, looking for something to keep them busy in the summer holidays can take a trip down a rabbit hole, join in with the mad-hatter’s tea party and play croquet with the Queen of Hearts by signing up for the Palace Youth Theatre’s two week summer school.

Participants will come together in July/August for two weeks of rehearsals with professionals before putting on two performances at the Palace Theatre.

Liz Tabberer, Youth Theatre and Arts Officer, said: “Don’t be late, put this very important date in your diary and enrol your youngsters onto our summer school today. Alice in Wonderland is a household tale and we’re extremely excited that we’re able to put on this show. If you’re looking for something to keep your kids out of mischief this summer, what could be more exciting than staging a show in just two weeks? Sign up now for the chance to challenge their creative ability, develop performance skills and make friends in a fun and exciting environment.”

Rehearsals will run weekdays from 30th July to 10th August 10am to 4pm with two shows on Saturday, August 11 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Summer School costs £150 per child or £75 sibling discount. Payment plans are available. To book, please contact the Palace Theatre Box Office on 01527 65203.

Deadline for registration is Friday, June 29.
