Burger King back in Redditch, bringing 30 jobs and free Whoppers

Redditch Editorial 1st Jul, 2021   0

A NEW Burger King has opened its doors in Redditch today, bringing 30 jobs to the area.

The fast food giant is also offering people the chance to get their hands on a free Whopper at the eatery on Ipsley Street, Trafford Retail Park, for downloading the restaurant chain’s app and using the ‘Redditch only: Opening special’ voucher. There are 1,000 up for grabs between now and Monday.

Alasdair Murdoch, CEO Burger King UK, said: “We know the people of Redditch love the great-tasting food of Burger King, so we’ve listened to their requests and are very excited to bring all their favourites to their neighbourhood.

“Our home – of the Whopper! – is their home.”

The last Burger King, which was in the Kingfisher Centre, closed its doors.

A number of Covid-safe procedures are in place to safeguard the health of both employees and customers, following detailed operational testing.

These include additional PPE such as masks and gloves for staff, stringent cleaning measures, contactless delivery options and all Burger King staff are comprehensively trained on the Government’s social distancing measures – including how to run kitchens hygienically, whilst abiding by them.
