Business women help out charity

Redditch Editorial 9th Oct, 2014 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

A LEADING cancer charity was helped out thanks to two Redditch mothers who have just launched their party service.

Vintage Belles creators Sarah Roberts and Becky Rose donated one of their tents with tables, chairs and cushions to help fund-raiser Julie Whyte raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support as part of their World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event.

Julie, who lives in Bromsgrove, has been helping the charity for 14 years and has raised £1,416.28 so far through her coffee morning with money still coming in.

She said: “Macmillan is a charity close to the Vintage Belles’ hearts as they too have experienced Macmillan’s services hence why they wanted to support me.

“It was even Becky’s birthday and she chose to spend it helping me. I have been overwhelmed at how many people really pull together to help Macmillan’s fund-raising events.”
