THERE was cake and more when members of the Inner Wheel Club of Redditch gathered to celebrate its 65th birthday at the start of March.
Joint presidents Rosie Harvey and Rosie Waine were joined by special guests district chairman Claire Mangan, Councillor Mike Chalk, the Mayor of Redditch, his consort, wife Jean Chalk and Speaker Bill Farnsworth.
Members of the Club, their guests and ladies from other Inner Wheel Clubs in District 6, enjoyed a lunch at The Abbey Hotel, before Bill, a retired chef, entertained the assembly witrh a highly enjoyable presentation on ‘My early years and the Savoy Hotel’.
