THE amazing Diane Driscoll has raised £640 from her latest cake sale.
The big-hearted Redditch resident, who donates all the proceeds to Macmillan Cancer Support, said the garden at her Vicarage Crescent home was packed with people enjoy, tea, coffee, and of course, cakes.
And that wasn’t all, she’d cooked a gammon and there was cheese and biscuits available too.
“I had an army in my kitchen – I couldn’t move!” said Diane.
“And it was superb day, absolutely fantastic. Gavan and Sarah at M&S have been brilliant as has the manager at Sainsbury’s who donated a gift voucher while Bruno’s Bakery in Studley donated all the scones. Thank you all.”
The bumper sum means that so far Diane has raised in excess of £2,000 for Macmillan, and she promises there is more fundraising for the cause still to come.
