RESIDENTS at Four Acres care home in Studley have been enjoying sneak previews of the festive panto set to be staged this Christmas in the village.

Jack and the Beanstalk is the latest show to take to the stage courtesy of the amazing Aunty Jen’s Productions.

The players have been busy fine tuning the show during rehearsals at the Eldorado Close residence, part of the Runwood Hoimes Group.

It’s not the first time the two have come together, fostering a sense of community and bringing joy to residents, staff, and families alike in what is fast becoming a cherished tradition.

Aunty Jen’s Productions, a small team of dedicated actors based in Studley, performs shows year-round and have been rehearsing at Four Acres three times a year for the past year.

From mid-November, the café at Four Acres has transformed into a vibrant rehearsal space.

Despite the bustling activity, residents, staff, and family members continued to access to a cuppa t the popular spot, where they were warmly welcomed to watch, engage with, and even join in with rehearsals.

The actors went above and beyond to ensure residents felt part of the magic, interacting with them throughout the week.

The week concluded with a special dress rehearsal performance of Jack and the Beanstalk for residents, giving them a front-row seat to the show’s grand debut.

Diane Wood, lifestyle co-ordinator at Four Acres, said: “It’s lovely the actors and actresses come here, they’ve become part of our Four Acres family.

Residents love it, and it’s become the norm for them to be here. The joy and connection this brings to everyone involved is truly special.”

She added that by opening its doors to local groups like Aunty Jen’s Productions, the care home continues to enrich the lives of its residents while fostering meaningful ties with the Studley community.

Jack and the Beanstalk is touring across the local area, with shows at  Burcot (December 22).

It’s at Studley village hall from December 23/24/26 and December 30/31 before finishing its local run at Bentley village hall on January 4.
