Care home visit proves the perfect cuppa for borough Mayor Salman

THE MAYOR of Redditch, Coun Salman Akbar, dropped into Bowood Court Care Home to have afternoon tea with the residents.

During the delightful afternoon tea party, he and the residents engaged in warm and meaningful conversations.

Coun Akbar expressed his appreciation for the dedication and care provided by the care home’s team and their tireless efforts to ensure the residents’ wellbeing and happiness.

He took a keen interest in their lives, listening to their stories, experiences, and perspectives on current affairs, creating a heartwarming atmosphere of connection and community.

Coun Akbar’s interest in the lives of the care home’s residents left a lasting impression.

Kerry, the care manager at Bowood Court, said the visit demonstrated the power of local leadership in promoting inclusivity, compassion, and unity.
