Cash boost for Redditch charity, Where Next

Redditch Editorial 10th Sep, 2024   0

A REDDITCH charity that provides a vital service for adults with a learning disability has received a cash boost thanks to the efforts of a Midlands housebuilder.

Where Next, has been given more than £3,000 thanks to events held by employees at Persimmon Homes South Midlands.

Members of the Studley-based Persimmon team have taken part in a number of events, including dress down Fridays and organising raffles in order to raise funds for the organisation which has celebrated its fortieth anniversary this year.

Where Next runs a plant nursery in Redditch on Easemore Road and a garden centre in Studley where it provides work experience and training.

Nikki Levy, from Where Next said: “We support more than 100 individuals each week across two sites, so having the support from companies like Persimmon Homes South Midlands is very much appreciated by us. Its support ensures we can continue making a real difference in people’s lives.”

Russell Green, managing director at Persimmon Homes South Midlands, added: “What we do is about so much more than building quality homes, it’s also about supporting the communities in which we build in a number of ways.

“At Persimmon, we encourage our team to raise funds for causes close to their hearts and it’s great to know that our fundraising efforts have been able to raise a significant amount for Where Next which does such vital work in the local community.”
