Celebration for 105th anniversary of Redditch Royal British Legion

THE REDDITCH branch of the Royal British Legion is celebrating its 105th Anniversary, with a Right Royal Knees Up at Bridley Moor Social Club.

Branch President Philip Jarvis, whose Father Kenneth was a founding member and one of the original committee.

He said: “My Father would have been delighted we are celebrating the 105th anniversary of the opening of the Redditch Branch.

“It’s wonderful we are still here after a century and it is a measure of how much the people of Redditch care about our veterans and servicemen and women.”

Branch Chairman Gerry Marsden added: “On behalf of all the committee, it is an honour and a privilege to continue in the footsteps of our forefathers.

“Fundraising is an important part of our work and we do invite all residents to join us to support our veterans at our 105th anniversary celebration.”




The celebration will take place at 7pm on Friday, June 5, at Bridley Moor Social Club.

People are invited by to attend the evening which will include dancing, and a  fundraising raffle.
