TALENT scouts at the town’s Palace Theatre are on the lookout once again for local superstars to compete in next year’s Redditch Has Talent Show.
Judges are looking for between 12 and 16 acts, featuring people over 10 years old, who live within an eight-mile radius of Redditch to appear in the final of the competition, which will be held on June 30.
There is no restriction on the talent and the judges are looking forward to seeing everyone from singers to magicians, acrobats to comedians and jugglers to ventriloquists – if you have a talent the panel wants to see it.
Each act will have a maximum of five minutes to perform and the initial selection needs to only showcase ‘raw’ talent – no specialist equipment is required but should you make it to the final, the experts at the Palace will do everything in their power to provide all necessary technical support.
Entrants will be allocated to four age groups – ten to 13, 13 to 16, 16 to 18 or 19 and over.
A winner from each category will be announced on the night of the final and will receive a trophy plus another prize but every act featured in the show will receive recognition for their appearance.
Auditions will take place in the Palace’s Room Upstairs throughout March and into April and applications must be handed in at the theatre by February 26.
Everyone who applies will get an audition – you will be notified of your audition date – and those who are successful will be granted a place in the final.

Schools across the town are also being sent copies of the forms.
