Chance to wave the flag as Redditch marks Armed Forces Day in style

Redditch Editorial 27th Jun, 2018   0

IT’S eyes right for Armed Forces Day in Redditch this Saturday, June 30.

Our soldiers, sailors and airmen and women will be on parade from 11.30am to 2pm in the town centre.

Members of the Redditch contingent of the 37th Signals will be joined by local cadet forces and HMS Forward will assemble by the Palace Theatre for a march from the Town Hall to St Stephen’s Church at 12noon.

At 1.15pm there will be a performance by the Palace Youth Theatre on Church Green before a return to the Town Hall.

Free flags will be available for collection in the main event area or from any Redditch market stall.

Plus there will be children’s entertainment and information stalls to really make it special.

The day, which is supported by the Royal British Legion, the Diocese of Worcester, Redditch Town Centre Partnership and Redditch Borough Council, also provides an opportunity for the town to show its support for those who serve, from present day troops and their families to veterans and civilians.
