REDDITCH MP Rachel Maclean has been appointed Chancellor Sajid Javid’s Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS).
PPSs help the government to track backbench opinion in Parliament.
Following her appointment, Mrs Maclean said: “It’s an honour.
“Worcestershire is truly represented in the Treasury now.
“I’m really looking forward to working with Mr Javid, my constituency neighbour, on the Government’s ambitious plans to take our country forward and to get Brexit delivered by October 31.
“I have been PPS to various ministers now but I just want to reassure my constituents that my new role will not affect my constituency work and I’ll still be living and working in Redditch.”
