TEN Redditch charities received grants from Redditch freemasons as part of the annual allocation of funding.
This is the first time the event had taken place in two years, due to the pandemic.
The scheme’s Presiding Officers are W Bro David Butcher, Deputy Provincial Grand Master of Warwickshire and W Bro Keith Evans Deputy Provincial Grand Master of Worcestershire.
The charities receiving grants of £500 from the Redditch Masonic Charity included Redditch District Scout Council, Touchstones, Friends of Isaacs Food Bank, and Disability Support Project.
A special donation was also made to Coun Karen Ashley, Deputy Mayor of Redditch, in support of the Mayor’s chosen charity ‘Drop the Knife’.
The day was just one part of the overall charitable activities of local Masons who donated in excess of £12,000 last year to charity.
