MORE than 60 councillors and many Mayors and Chairmen from local authorities attended a glittering charity evening at Alcester Town Hall hosted by town Mayor Councillor Yvette Morrison.
Two charity presentations were made. The first was by Ryan and Amy Jackson on behalf of the Lily Mae Foundation.
The Lily Mae Foundation supports parents and families who have tragically and traumatically lost a baby to stillbirth or to neonatal death and provides memory boxes and support groups across the West Midlands.
The second presentation was made by Mrs Jenny Farrell and Lila Morgan on behalf of the Stratford-Upon-Avon Cancer and Eye Hospital and the League of Friends.
The work continues to move at a pace at the new hospital and the League of Friends continues to support the essential needs of the patients.
‘It was a wonderful evening and the two charities gave a wonderful presentation on their work,” said Mayor Morrison.
“The guests were very generous and I look forward to announcing my year’s charitable donations at the end of my civic term.”
