TUDENTS at Studley High are now among over 100,000 pupils across Warwickshire who have been educated by ‘Chelsea’s Choice’ – a performance which tackles Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE).

The production is the brainchild of theatre company AlterEgo who work in association with the Warwickshire Safeguarding Children Board and Warwickshire County Council.

The show, which focuses on the issues of grooming, peer-pressure, inappropriate use of social media, domestic abuse and self-esteem, was the final performance – after touring around the county through the autumn term.

Following the performance, the cast held a question and answer session to discuss issues surrounding CSE before members from Barnardos charity handed out goodie bags with clear messages of how they offer support along with Childline.

Amy Page, assistant head teacher, said: “The performance explored key issues about sharing personal information, staying safe online and in all personal relationships. It has been a privilege to work with Warwickshire County Council to support their drive of raising awareness of such a sensitive issue”.
