REDDITCH MP Chris Bloore joined service users, staff and volunteers at the YMCA Worcestershire Olympics, proudly serving as the official starter for the 100 metres final at Abbey Stadium.
The event brought together people of all ages and abilities for a vibrant celebration of sport, teamwork and community spirit.
Organised annually by YMCA Worcestershire, the Olympics highlight the vital role physical activity plays in promoting both physical health and mental wellbeing.
Mr Bloore said being the official 100m final starter was a ‘real pleasure’.
“The enthusiasm and energy shown by everyone involved, from participants to the dedicated staff and volunteers, was truly inspiring,” he added.
“The YMCA does such important work here in Redditch – helping people improve their health, wellbeing and confidence through inclusive and supportive activities.
“I’m so grateful to have them at the heart of our community.
“Congratulations to Romeo, the winner of the 100m final and to every participant for making the day such a success.”
