Christmas coffee morning at Co-op raises cash for Studley in Bloom

Ross Crawford 22nd Dec, 2019

A CHRISTMAS coffee morning at the local Co-op store has helped raise a bumper £959.60 for Studley in Bloom.

The cash total was the culmination of a fundraising drive which started with the Alcester Road Christmas Lights switch on at the end of November.

And the cash couldn’t be more timely said Bloom chair Jill Liebthal as the award winning group were facing a £1,000 bill to replace compost and special matting in the village’s planters.”It’s a fantastic total especially as we’ve had to face this unexpected expense,” said Jill.

“We’d like to thank the Co-op for their continued support and the new noticeboard they’ve put up for us, Pam Crow and Diane Clark for the hampers and tombola and our very owwn Father Christmas Terry Burton and of course the entire Studley in Bloom team who made it all happen.”
