RESIDENTS across the town who may be struggling this winter are invited to attend a Christmas Eve Supper hosted by Redditch’s Labour team.
The event is aimed at those who are having difficulties with their financies or who are planning on spending the festive season alone.
SPACE Winyates Centre will host the dinner on December 24 from 5pm where councillors will be volunteering alongside community volunteers to provide a hot meal for those in need this Christmas.
County councillor Joe Baker said: “It is important to look after those in need in our community – by providing a hot meal on Christmas Eve we are showing that we care.”
Last year the team supplied over 250 breakfast rolls to the community and have this year enlisted the help of Redditch Borough Council leader Bill Hartnett and Coun Pat Witherspoon.
