MORE than 600 residents turned out to enjoy the Church Hill Christmas Cracker on Wednesday evening at Willow Trees Community Centre.
The event was a joint venture between YMCA, Church Hill Big Local Partnership, St Andrew’s Church and PACT.
Wendy Johnson, Chair of Church Hill Big Local Partnership said: “It was a great evening, made all the more enjoyable by the volunteers who helped create it. Enormous thanks must go to Church Hill Middle and Abbeywood First Schools whose choirs got us off to a great start.
“Hot food was in abundance, Asda donated mince pies to raise money for the Redditch Mental Health Action Group, as did Cutting Edge Hair Salon.
“Thanks also to Chris and Liz from REACH CIC, deputy Mayor Joe Baker and Councillor Wanda King.
“And most of all, huge thanks to Santa and his Elves for making this Christmas Fayre the best yet.”
