Church Hill family show their appreciation of key workers with colourful display

A CHURCH Hill family are showing their appreciation of key workers by hanging a colourful display at the front of their house.

It was painted by siblings Preston, aged 7, Mason, 11 and Lanie Meadows, 14, who are currently being home-schooled due to the coronavirus outbreak.

They have thanked the NHS, emergency services, teachers and supermarket staff for ‘continuing to make the world go round’.

Their super-proud mum Nikki Soper says her children are fully aware of what is going on in the news and that is why they wanted to stand in solidarity with those key workers.

“Hopefully it will give other parents an idea for what they can do with their children while they’re off school,” said the Loxley Close mum.

“My children made the banner in our garden while it was sunny outside.

“It isn’t much, it’s just a small token of our appreciation.

“It’s happy, bright and uplifting and I think that’s what everyone needs right now.”
