A COLLECTIVE of the nation’s up and coming musical talent are seeking to inspire Redditch youngsters.
This week students at Church Hill Middle School were visited by the Power of Muzik – a new programme created to inspire young people through music education.
Created by CeCe Sammy, celebrity vocal coach and mentor to rising stars of The X Factor and The Voice, the Power of Muzik uses music therapy and powerful messaging to spread positive advice to young people going through personal challenges, mental health issues and bullying.
The programme has seen a collective of the UK’s emerging music artists visit schools up and down the country, performing a selection of inspiring pop songs to encourage open conversation among young people.
Leading the show was Denis Coleman, a 15 year-old multi-instrumentalist and the winner of last year’s Open Mic UK/Future Music’s songwriter of the year competition with 21 year-old singer / songwriter James CC, a graduate of the renowned Brit School.
