HEADLESS Cross Community Garden has received a grant from The Midcounties Co-operative.
The community group was Midcounties’ charity of the year this year and the support has continued with a share of £10,252 donated by the organisation to 18 charity groups across Worcestershire.
The money will be used to help finance events like the one happening this weekend, August 12-13, when a green wood carving workshop will be held from 10am with everyone invited to go along and give it a go.
Bob Richens from The Midcounties Co-operative in Worcestershire, said: “These organisations strive to make a valuable difference to the lives of those in Wyre Forest and Worcestershire, and it’s great to be able to bring them all together and support the good work they’re doing.
“As a co-operative, supporting local community groups is a core part of our values. To underline this commitment, we run regular rounds of funding for charities, groups and causes that deserve a funding boost.”
