A TWO hour spring clean blitz in Studley resulted in 25 bags of rubbish being collected by the team from Studley in Bloom.
Meeting at 9am last Saturday morning 20 community-minded volunteers got stuck in along the roads and verges in the village.
The local Cubs also got involved, cleaning up their compound by Jill Liebthal, chair of gold medal winning Studley in Bloom, paid special tribute to volunteer Craig Hunt who litter picks in the village every week.
“We worked with the WI and so thanks to them, the Cubs, Craig and of course all our own volunteers for all the work they did,” said Jill.
The next Studley in Bloom coffee and cake morning is on Thursday, April 18 at the Co-op from 10am to 1pm and all are welcome to drop in and give the group a boost.
The event will be their last for a while as the supermarket is soon to undergo a refurbishment.
