A COFFEE and cake-fuelled fundraiser has banked over £1,000 to keep Alcester blooming.
Alcester in Bloom’s 33rd Coffee Morning was held on Saturday (February 18) and many turned out to dine on home-baked goods and sup cuppas, raising an impressive £1,143.75 in just two hours.
The cash will go towards sprucing the town up ahead of the annual In Bloom competition.
The next Alcester in Bloom fundraiser is set for Saturday March 4 when Tarantara Choir will be at St Nicholas Church for a concert.
