A community group which supports youngsters on the autism spectrum is getting ready to host a 24-hour gaming session this Friday (November 2).

Every console you can possibly imagine, from the Sega Dreamcast to the Playstation 4, will be available to play under one roof.

Matchborough-based ‘Your Ideas Youth and Community Project’ will allow its members to sit back on comfy chairs, insert a video game and be transported to the a fantasy world of football, car racing and more.

Your Ideas’ Lead and Community Worker Imogen Morris, said: “It’s important we set up the right environments for people with autism to thrive in.

“We have made the room as comfortable as possible and we can’t wait to get started.”

The 24-hour binge will be filmed live on streaming site Twitch, a service which allows its users to make donations as they watch the stream.

Live donations can be made by visiting www.twitch.tv/your_ideas from 10am onwards on Friday.
