THE company that owns and runs Diamond Buses in Redditch saw its pre-tax profits rise by four per cent to £4.42million in the year ending November 30, 2019.
Rotala PLC also saw its turnover rise by eight per cent to £67.5m over the same period.
Non-executive chairman John Gunn said before the onset of the coronavirus crisis Rotala had been continuing to make good progress but the seriousness of the current Covid-19 situation had put its plans on hold.
However he added that the announcement of large scale government investment in public transport outside of London meant “we now appear to be entering a new era for bus transport with renewed and enhanced government support for a key part of the country’s transport network.”
Rotala’s Diamond brand runs services covering the West Midlands, Warwickshire and Worcestershire, including Redditch, and in the north west covering Greater Manchester and Merseyside.
