Condensed Shakespeare set to delight audiences at Coughton

Redditch Editorial 25th May, 2022   0

THEATRE charity Troubadour Stageworks is bringing two of Shakespeare’s best loved comedies to the stage at Coughton Court in a fun and accessible way.

Running at just an hour and a half (with a 15 minute interval), Troubadour will be performing Twelfth Night and Much Ado About Nothing in productions that will be full of music and suitable for all the family.

They’re also staging In The Stones, an original piece of theatre which tells the tale of Childe Roland, whose sister runs widdershins round the church and is taken by the Elf King.

He must venture to the Other World to get her back, falling through the history of the church where she vanished.

This musical and family-friendly show tells the secular history of parish churches, adapting to each church it takes place in.

Tickets for the shows can be purchased via the Troubadour Stageworks website at: https://www.troubadourstageworks.com/

The show dates are:

June 9 – In The Stones – 6.30pm, June 10 – Twelfth Night – 6pm, June 11 – Twelfth Night – 1pm, June 11 – Much Ado About Nothing – 6pm, June 12 – Much Ado About Nothing – 1pm.
