Coppice pupils do their best for Nepal

MORE than £2,000 has been raised by Coppice Primary children for the victims of Nepal’s earthquakes.

Pupils ditched their school uniform for the favourite outfits, manned a cake and ice lolly stall, and took part in a sponsored spell to raise the funds.

Two earthquakes struck Nepal in May this year, killing and injuring thousands.

Pupils saw the effects of the natural disaster and decided to host a variety of fund-raising events to help the cause.

A spokeswoman from the school, said: “We are extremely proud of our young pupils and their willingness and commitment to make a difference to a country, already poor, devastated by a natural disaster.”
