NATIONAL Trust Coughton Court, in Alcester, will be reopening for the 2024 season next month with a programme of activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy.
Starting on February 10, visitors can explore the heights of the Through the Roof conservation project to taking wintry walks and immersing themselves in the property’s rich 600-year history.
Visitors can also enjoy adventure this Easter with a seasonal trail for all ages to get active and connect to nature.
For those who want to sit back and relax, Coughton Court’s orchard will be in full bloom for blossom season and visitors can grab a ‘blind date with a book’ to enjoy while relaxing beneath the trees.
The team at Coughton Court wants everyone to be able to enjoy their visit and has recently introduced sensory backpacks which are free for guests of all ages to borrow – these include noise reduction headphones, sunglasses, fidget toys and communication cards.
Following the successful tag a tile event in December 2023, Coughton Court is giving visitors another opportunity to become part of the property’s 600-year history.
Taking place on February 10 and 11, visitors will be able to include a personal message a roof tile that will be reinstated as part of the roof works.
Gurminder Kenth, National Trust general manager for North Warwickshire, said: “At Coughton Court we want all visitors to feel welcome and February is the perfect time to get outdoors together with friends and family, from spotting birds on the riverside walk, discovering ancient woodland, playing garden games and spending quality time together – there is lots to see and do.”
