Could you help make Christmas magical for those feeling the pinch?

Redditch Editorial 24th Nov, 2017   0

A REDDITCH charity which makes Christmas magical for hundreds of families in need is looking to the great Redditch public for help.

This year, Acts of Kindness (AOK) will be again assisting people who find the festive season a struggle, helping with hampers and making sure parents can buy gifts for their children.

But this year, AOK which also runs Redditch foodbank, wants to help those in need by providing parents with vouchers so they can buy their children toys they really want.

To make this happen, the charity is asking people any amount of money, rather than toys and gifts, to make it a magical Christmas for children.

The Reverend Robin Baker, Senior Minister at Oasis Christian Centre, said: “We want to empower parents and let them choose gifts that will really make their child’s Christmas special – and vouchers are the best way to do that.

“Cash donations are simple and easy to make via our website, and we can also make the most of voucher deals to maximise the money.

“We have always found the people of Redditch to be so generous, and we really don’t take it for granted.”

To support the project visit www.aokuk.org.uk online.

Anyone collecting large amount of food for AOK’s Christmas hampers should contact Rev Baker as early as possible to ensure delivery for Christmas.
