County campaign Here2Help is still available to help those most in need

Redditch Editorial 30th Aug, 2020 Updated: 30th Aug, 2020   0

THE county’s Here2Help campaign says it is still on hand to support those directly affected by the virus as the lockdown continues.

Organisers say those who are self-isolating and need assistance will still be able to use the website or contact the helpline and request help related to the Covid pandemic.

The service can be contacted from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Hannah Needham, Worcestershire’s assistant director for communities, said: “Here 2 Help has been a real success story of the pandemic and the community spirit generated by it is something we must hold onto as we move forward. As things change and move forward, we must adapt all of our services accordingly.

“The key priority of Here2Help has always been to make sure those who have been directly affected by Coronavirus receive the help and support they need and this will not change.”

There have been 3,505 requests for help from Worcestershire’s residents since the service launched and 1,909 offers of support have been received.
