FROM July 1, anyone who needs help to use online county council services in Redditch should visit their local library instead of their borough council office.
These services include Blue Badge Parking Permit applications, concessionary bus pass applications, countryside services, school transport and admission applications, report a Highways issue, Commercial Vehicle & Trailer Permit applications, registration services, Trading Standards and public transport.
These services are also available online at www.worcestershire.gov.uk
For more information call 01905 822722.
As well as supporting customers to access online county services, the library will be able to offer a range of additional services including adult learning classes, digital support, job-seeking support and a wide range of events and activities.
Anyone can go to their local library if they need face-to-face help to use these online services or to become more confident using a computer.
THE junction of Icknield Street Drive and Warwick Highway is to be widened this summer in a bid to ease traffic congestion.
The work is part of a £5m programme spread over two years to identify, investigate and deliver solutions to tackle congestion across Worcestershire.
In addition to the £5m investment, Worcestershire County Council was also successful last year with bids to the Department for Transport worth £6.6m.
