Covid-19 and pregnancy - Royal College to hold online Q&A

Redditch Editorial 14th Apr, 2020   0

THE Royal College of Midwives is to hold a live question and answer session on Twitter this coming Thursday, April 16 on pregnancy and the coronavirus for pregnant women.

The Q & A will address questions from pregnant and postnatal women about their pregnancy and care during the current coronavirus epidemic.

Residents in Redditch and surrounding areas can send your questions in advance by direct message to the RCM by midday tomorrow, Wednesday, April 15, via its Twitter account – @MidwivesRCM.

The RCM and the Royal College of Gynaecologists have also produced guidance on Covid-19.

The guidance covers the most up-to-date advice on how coronavirus affects pregnant women and their unborn babies, how labour and birth should be managed in women with suspected or confirmed coronavirus, as well as information on neonatal care and infant feeding.

It is regularly updated as new evidence and information emerges.

The advice for pregnant women is on the RCM website at https://www.rcm.org.uk/advice-for-pregnant-women/ .
