CRABBS Cross Academy celebrated European Day of Languages yesterday by dressing up, tasting different foods and learning new songs.
The event was organised by Miss Kinlan, the school’s languages co-ordinator.
She said: “It’s fantastic we can encourage children to discover and learn different languages.
“We live in a linguistically diverse world, so it’s important our pupils are aware of the many different languages spoken within Europe.”
Headteacher Mrs Shakles said she was delighted children were able to explore different cultures.
