PUPILS from Crabbs Cross Academy took part in Astwood Bank Carnival for the very first time, winning first place for their float.
Children, staff and families came together to create a spectacular Goldilocks and the Three Bears float, featuring handmade characters, colourful flowers and a handcrafted banner, with participants embracing the theme by dressing as bears, alongside their very own Goldilocks.
To make the day even more special, the school had a bespoke song especially for Crabbs Cross and Goldilocks and the Three Bears carnival entry.
Pupils played it through speakers as they danced their way through the procession, bringing smiles to spectators along the route.
A spokesperson for the school said: “We were absolutely delighted to be awarded first place in the carnival, as well as the coveted best in show award.
“It was a fantastic achievement and a real testament to the creativity, teamwork and community spirit of everyone involved.
“We are incredibly proud of our children, staff and families for representing Crabbs Cross so brilliantly and we’d love to share our success with the wider community.”
