Cream tea will brew up funds for hospice

A FAMILY of fund-raisers are hosting a cream tea to raise money for the Primrose Hospice.

Betty O’Gorman and her daughters Liz Linford and Caroline O’Gorman will be running the event from 12pm to 3pm next Saturday (February 28) at Trinity High School in Easemore Road.

Betty said the event was a way of making money for a local charity by hosting an event which the community could come to and enjoy.

She added: “Anybody is welcome and it’s a great excuse to get together with friends and family over a cup of tea and a slice of homemade cake in a nice relaxed environment.

“As a family we know many people who have received wonderful support from the Primrose Hospice. We chose to raise money for this charity to show our gratitude as a community for all of the hard work it does to support people in their time of need, for all of the staff and all of the selfless volunteers.”
