A ROYAL telegram and a surprise visitor from Australia awaited a Studley woman celebrating her 100th birthday.
Nora Sefton celebrated her 100th year on June 5 with a big party alongside her grandchildren, great grandchildren and two sons – one of whom had traveled home from Australia as a birthday surprise.
Nora said her secret for a long life is a good sense of humour – and a glass of sherry every day.
Born in Bidford on Avon, Nora worked on the trams during the war and has lived in Studley for more than 50 years where she also worked for the Needle Industries.
