SIX MEMBERS of one family all bravely took the plunge to raise funds for the Primrose Hospice.
Daredevils Ben, Ceri, Ellie, Joanne, Sheryl and Tilly, were joined by Alex Allcott and and Ann Gameson for the skydive, raising an impressive £6,970 for the cause.
The family owned funeral directors Thomas Brothers from Redditch decided to take up the challenge of the sponsored 10,000ft freefall parachute jump harnessed to a professional instructor, free-falling at a speed of 120mph.
The Challenge event took place at Redlands airfield near Swindon.
Alex Allcott from Thomas Brothers said: “The whole experience was a thrill none of us will ever forget.
“We would definitely recommend parachuting for Primrose to anyone with a sense of adventure.”
Anne Snell, corporate and community fund-raiser for the Primrose, said: “We are extremely grateful for all funds raised to help the work of the hospice.
“We were really excited that the group of adventurous skydivers from Thomas Brothers took up this thrilling challenge.”
She added all the hospice’s services were provided for free to people at a time in their lives when they needed it most.
“Without the support of people taking up challenges like this and raising vital funds, the hospice would not be able to carry out its crucial work.”
Future Parachute for the Primrose events will be held on June 16 and September 22.
