REDDITCH schoolchildren have been busy planting saplings.
The Woodland Trust has donated 105 saplings to Abbeywood First School, with 60 children helping plant them for future generations to enjoy.
The school wants to create a new forest area within the grounds, and encourage the children to learn about the different type of trees and how to look after them successfully.
Rosie Pretty Year three teacher at Abbeywood said: “The children are hoping that the new area will entice more wildlife onto the school grounds for future generations to enjoy.”
